The use of VAR in the Champions League has been controversial this week. Arrive to help referees in the knockout stages of the Champions League, video assistance was decried after the goal denied to Ajax Amsterdam against Real Madrid (1-2). Despite criticism, UEFA refereeing chief Roberto Rosetti was more than satisfied with the use of the VAR.

"I am very happy with how the VAR was used. The technology worked perfectly and the referee teams reached a very high level. This shows all the work that we have provided. The most important thing is that the referee makes the right decision. Precision is more important than speed. We want to be more efficient and improve it further, "said Roberto Rosetti on the UEFA website.
